Information Session

Interested in starting your own Home-Based Child Care business? Attend an Information Session on this free training program that will assist you to achieve this goal! Information sessions provide a program overview, details about the requirements to open a home-based childcare business and offer an opportunity to ask questions.

Interested applicants will be directed to take the next step in admissions by completing the NYS Division of Child Care Services Child Day Care Orientation. The orientation is a 2-hour online course. At the end of the online orientation you must request an Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) Application. The OCFS Application is necessary to apply for a childcare program license or registration to operate a regulated home daycare. Requesting an OCFS Application is a mandatory program admission requirement.

Note: Attendees with childcare needs will be eligible for a childcare stipend to support their attendance in person at an information session. This stipend will be processed by the CAPC.
